1. Karma Restaurant

17 Burma Road, Apapa, Lagos || 01 277 0237, 0702 718 0935

Karma is the restaurant arm of the homely Karma hotel and supermarket.  It is a pretty Indian-themed restaurant that offers fresh Chinese, Nigerian, continental, Indian meals and of course fast and free WiFi.

Their Indian fair is top class. Go for if you find yourself at Karma. In addition to the WiFi, of course.

Budget – N9,000 feeds two.

2. Kobis

Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos || 0802 478 0044, 0812 713 8180. Find other outlets here

Kobis is sassy. The restaurant made a name for itself in innovative meals. They totally revolutionised the food game with their Kara burger which is Akara (Bean Fritas) and bread that studied abroad.

Kobis prawn paella rice is one in town, try it and thank me later. Don’t even get started know their moi moi or their bread and omelette breakfast dish.

Kobis is a great place to hang out and lose track of time.  Especially with their formidable WiFi. Yemi at lifestyle blog, swears is the fastest WiFi she’s ever plugged into.

Budget: N5,000 feeds two.

3. Emperor Meals

Ijede road, Boge Bus stop, Ikorodu || 07036263805, 07086768127

I bet you never thought you’d see a restaurant in Ikorodu on this list yeah? Surprise! Emperor Meals is a dope Chinese restaurant that opened last year in the quiet suburbs of Ikorodu. They serve African and Chinese cuisines.

The restaurant has a large dining space as well as rooms for private dining. It has a peaceful and quiet aura. That’s no surprise, though. It’s in Ikorodu. And the WiFi? Yes. Checked.

Budget: N5,000 feeds two.

Rodizzio Restaurant wants four things from you;  (1) Come with an empty stomach (2) grab a seat only if you’re ready to chow down (3) forks and knives are optional and (4) be ready to lick your fingers.

Rodizzio is renowned for effortless scrumptious Brazilian meals, BBQ and ‘grilled to perfect seafood.’

Rodizzio will have you licking your fingers in public without care.  While all that finger licking is going on, you can plug into their free fast WiFi. I heard they host standup comedians and live bands on weekends too.

Budget: N8,000 feeds two.

5. Zenith Water Margin

28 Adeniran Ogunsanya Street, Surulere, Lagos. || 0705 543 7004,  0816 405 41013

This fine  Chinese restaurant has been around since 1986.  Their modern oriental theme and sultry furnishings and interior come together to give an exciting ambience. Perfect for a date.

I’ve heard some people say their deep fried king prawns in batter and sizzling shredded beef with green pepper is fantastic.  As for drinks; you simply must try their signature cocktail.  Their WiFi – why we are here – is always on.

Budget: N12,000 feeds two.

6. Ballers sport cafe

Ziggies, 84-86 Basheer Shittu Avenue, Magodo, Lagos || 0701 800 9000
